an initiative under
The Mental Health First Responder (MHFR) programme trains high school students, in partnership with Kerala State mental health counsellors from Koottu, DCRC, D-DAD and Snehitha, along with Special Police Officers, in schools across Kerala to support their peers with online safety and mental well-being.
The programme is run by Kerala Police Cyberdome as part of the Kid Glove initiative. Mental Health First Responders become the trusted peer-links between students facing harm, and institutions of help and support. They assist counsellors with reporting harm, and connecting victims to help for quicker escalation and resolution.
